Neuromyelitis optica or Devic`s disease is an inflammatory disimmune-neurodegenerative characterized by a progressive course, predominantly affecting the optic nerves and spinal cord, with relatively intact brain structures. The differential diagnosis of neuromyelitis multiple sclerosis based on identification typical clinical tomographic picture presence high level antibodies to aquaporin 4 in blood serum.
